- Can you tell me what flooring will work in my space?
- Yes — that's part of the walk-through. Some spaces are wrong for certain products: solid hardwood doesn't belong in a basement, laminate doesn't belong in a bathroom, big-format porcelain doesn't belong on a flexing subfloor. We'll match the product to the room and your usage, and tell you when something you want won't perform.
- Do I need to move all the furniture?
- We can move furniture as part of the job if you want — most clients have us do it. We'll work room-by-room so the whole house isn't disrupted at once. Anything fragile or sentimental, we ask you to relocate yourself.
- How long does a typical floor install take?
- A 600-square-foot LVP install runs 2–3 days including demo. A whole-house LVP across 1,800 sq ft is more like a week. Carpet is faster — bedrooms can be done in a day. Tile takes longer because of cure time. We give you a day-by-day schedule.
- What about the existing trim and baseboards?
- Two ways to do it. Cheaper: install up to existing baseboards and add quarter-round to cover the gap. Cleaner-looking: pull baseboards, install floor, reinstall or replace baseboards, no quarter-round. We'll quote both and you decide.
- Can I supply my own flooring?
- Yes. Some clients buy LVP or carpet on sale and have it delivered. We'll just need to verify the product, see the spec sheet, and add a few percent extra for cuts and waste. You're responsible for the material warranty if there's a defect; we warranty the install.
